Hospital/Clinical

Shredding is a vital process in the disposal of hospital, clincial and quarantine wastes.  Since many hospitals have had to close down incinerators due to pollution there has been a growth industry in the treatment of this waste.  Because of its nature there is a need for complete desturction of this waste and treatment with chemicals or microwave and autoclave or controlled incineration to kill bacteria and odours which is necessary to meet EPA standards.

Waste Initatives supplies a variety of models with specially developed cutters, stainless steel hoppers and shredding chambers with special bulkhead walls to protect gearbox and shaft bearings.  We can custom build small to large systems designed to work year in, and year out with little maintenance apart from keeping the system clean.
