Tyres/Rubber

This industry presents the whole world with a real environmental recycling problem.  Old car and truck tyres left in the open collect water, and are breeding grounds for mosquitoes, tyres in dumps become nests for rodents and snakes, buried tyres in landfill tend to rise to the surface and cause more problems.  Tyres and other rubber products can be shred and used for many purposes including: rubber crumb, matting, shoes, tennis court and playground surfaces, road surfaces etc. and can also be used as a fuel source for cement kilns which use the steel as well as the rubber.

Waste Initiatives has many models with bulkhead walls, heavy duty shafts and gearboxes, tough steel hardened cutters, with a choice of two or four shaft shredders that produce different results depending on end usage.
